Responsible Gambling Resources

Gambling should never be treated as a source of income or a way to recover losses. Pro Football Models is not a sportsbook and does not accept wagers. Our analysis cannot eliminate the risk or uncertainty involved in gambling.
Get help in the United States
National Problem Gambling Helpline
Free, confidential support and referrals are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across all 50 states and U.S. territories.
- Call or text: 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738)
- Online chat: National Problem Gambling Helpline chat
- Information and state-by-state resources: National Council on Problem Gambling
The helpline connects callers with local resources; it is not an emergency service. The older number 1-800-522-4700 may also remain available during the helpline transition. Because national branding and routing changed in 2025–2026, PFM should verify these numbers with NCPG at least once each season.
Peer support
- Gamblers Anonymous offers peer-support meetings and a meeting directory.
- Gam-Anon provides support for people affected by someone else's gambling.
Immediate emotional crisis
If you are in emotional distress or concerned about suicide or self-harm in the United States, call or text 988 or use the 988 Lifeline chat. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency service.
Warning signs
Consider stepping away and seeking support if you:
- gamble with money needed for essential expenses;
- hide gambling or financial losses from other people;
- borrow money or sell possessions to gamble;
- repeatedly chase losses or increase wagers to feel the same effect;
- feel unable to stop or become distressed when trying to stop;
- allow gambling to harm work, school, health, finances, or relationships; or
- use gambling to escape anxiety, depression, loneliness, or other distress.
Practical safeguards
- Set firm money and time limits before gambling.
- Never borrow money to wager and never chase a loss.
- Avoid gambling while distressed, impaired, or under the influence.
- Use deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, or account-closing tools offered by licensed operators and state regulators.
- Remove betting apps, disable notifications, block transactions where supported, and ask a trusted person for help managing finances.
- Treat model projections as uncertain information, never as a guarantee.
Outside the United States
Use a licensed local support service or visit Gambling Therapy for international information. In an emergency, contact the emergency or crisis service where you live.
